Metora is designed to help you inspect and remove metadata from photos while keeping photo processing on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Metora accesses and how information may be processed when you use the app.

1. Photos and Metadata

Metora accesses only the photos that you choose to process.

Depending on the image, embedded metadata may include information such as:

• GPS coordinates and location information
• Date and time information
• Camera manufacturer and model
• Lens and exposure information
• EXIF metadata
• IPTC metadata
• XMP metadata
• Other metadata embedded in the image file

Photo inspection and metadata removal are performed locally on your device. Metora does not upload your photos to our servers for processing.

2. Photo Library Access

Metora may request access to your photo library so that you can select images and save cleaned copies.

Photo access is used only for functionality that you request. You can change or revoke photo access at any time through your device settings.

3. Original Photos

Metora is designed to create cleaned copies of photos rather than unnecessarily modifying the original image.

You remain responsible for managing and deleting photos stored on your device.

4. Accounts

Metora does not currently require you to create an account.

We do not require your name, email address, phone number, or password to use the app.

5. Purchases

Metora may offer paid functionality through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payments are processed by Apple.

We do not directly receive or store your credit card number, banking information, or Apple ID password.

6. RevenueCat

Metora uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status and determine whether paid features have been unlocked.

RevenueCat may process information related to purchases, including:

• An anonymous app user identifier
• Purchase and transaction information
• Product and entitlement information
• Device and operating system information
• Information required to validate or restore purchases

This information may be used to validate purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, provide paid functionality, and understand purchase performance.

RevenueCat processes information according to its own privacy practices.

7. Advertising and Analytics

Metora does not currently use third-party advertising networks.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your photos and photo metadata are not used for advertising and are not used by us to train artificial intelligence models.

8. Data Storage

Because photo processing takes place locally, we do not maintain a server-side collection of photos processed using Metora.

Temporary files may be created on your device while Metora performs a requested operation.

Purchase-related information may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their respective policies and legal obligations.

9. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your photos or personal information.

Information may be processed by third parties where necessary to provide functionality that you use, including:

• Apple, for App Store distribution and In-App Purchases
• RevenueCat, for purchase validation and entitlement management

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Metora does not currently maintain user accounts or a remote database containing the photos you process.

You can delete photos and cleaned copies using your device's normal photo management features.

You may contact us regarding privacy or deletion requests related to information associated with Metora.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you rights relating to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of certain information.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Children's Privacy

Metora is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe personal information relating to a child has been processed improperly, please contact us.

13. Security

Metora is designed to minimize the amount of information that needs to leave your device.

No system can guarantee absolute security, but local photo processing reduces unnecessary transmission and remote storage of your photos.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Metora's functionality, third-party services, or legal obligations change.

The latest version will display an updated effective date.
